In World of Warcraft, you can level up very quickly right now. In just a few hours, you can have a fresh character at level 70 – or finally catch up an old one.
The event “Radiant Echoes” is the pre-event for the next WoW expansion “The War Within”. In the first hours, it looked like the event would be a huge flop. The opinion in the community was devastating, players could do nothing with the long waiting times.
But Blizzard reacted quickly. Within a few hours, they revised the entire event, improved it in many areas, and ensured that there are no more waiting times – and almost everyone was happy.
Especially happy are all those who still need to level up some characters. Because with the event, this is now possible in just a few hours.
A lot of XP for little effort
Since the revision of the event, there are permanent missions to complete. Simply travel to Dalaran and jump from there into the currently active portal to smash memories until the next full hour.
Completing a memory grants extremely many experience points – nearly half a level at the lower levels, still a good quarter later, in addition to kill XP.
Since you are completing the memories continuously and hardly any takes longer than 2-3 minutes, a level-up rarely takes longer than 10 minutes – in many cases, this will happen even significantly faster, so you could have already caught up to the maximum level in just a few hours.
As a nice side effect, you will permanently receive memory residues. You can exchange these once the character reaches level 70 for strong equipment. Then your character starts with items at item level 480 and can basically participate in absolutely any endgame activity or face the launch of The War Within completely relaxed.
Tips and tricks for fast leveling at the Radiant Echoes
In general, it is more rewarding to actively accompany the entire event. You can stand “afk” in the quest areas of the active memories and then receive a large XP bonus for completing the respective event – regardless of whether you participated or not – but active participation speeds up the process.
This is mainly because the mobs in the memories give a lot of experience points. You just need to “tag” them with an ability or an attack to receive the XP.
Therefore, it is important to choose talents that deal area damage as early as possible so that you can tag many mobs at once, which will then be taken down by the group of players.
Another point is the mentioned group of players. Most of the time, there is a whole bunch of characters flying from point to point. Try to stay with this mass of characters. They speed up the completion of the memories and thus increase the rate at which you earn XP.
If you keep these tips in mind, you can level fresh characters from level 10 to level 70 in just under 4 hours – if you pick up XP buffs, like the one from the Darkmoon Faire, then even a little faster.
The only leveling method that is currently still faster is participating in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. There you can level characters even faster. However, these heroes will then be bound to Pandaria for about 2 weeks and can only be played in the rest of the world when The War Within celebrates its release.
