Every gamer knows it: Those who cheat face penalties. In the worst case, fans must expect a ban. A streamer has now openly cheated in his stream in Destiny 2, but he is only being warned instead of being banned.
Which streamer is the guilty one? Leopard or leopardstealth is a streamer on Twitch. He is not one of the largest streamers of Destiny 2, but he is known for his content. He especially likes to participate in the Bungie Bounties, where he tricks viewers and misleads them.
Currently, he is attempting a solo kill in the new raid “Garden of Salvation.” He wants to defeat the witness alone, just like an unknown Guardian did before, but Leopard wanted to use a nasty trick for his victory to achieve his goal. However, this trick is against Bungie’s ToS (Terms of Service), and despite having visual evidence of his cheating attempt, he is only being punished with a warning.
VPN gives you an unfair advantage in the latest raid
How did the cheating attempt go down? Leopard logged in with a VPN from a different location to increase his ping (latency). With the increased latency, the streamer was able to destroy up to 3 glyphs on the witness’s chest instead of 2. This unfair advantage was shared by the streamer on X (formerly Twitter:
The problem is that network manipulation violates Bungie’s Terms of Service. Many dishonorable PvP players take advantage of this tactic to win against other players. Leopard also uses this option to gain an advantage and get closer to defeating the witness. Bungie noticed this and responded.
What did Bungie say? Under the proof video that Leopard posted, Bungie also responded. They commented on the case and put the streamer in his place:
Hello everyone.
I wanted to issue a fair warning. This violates our ToS. We understand the desire to tackle more challenging content solo, but manipulating the network to gain an advantage in PvE or PvP may result in restrictions or bans.
We strongly advise against doing this.

While other users are banned by Bungie without any significant reason, Leopard is getting off lightly. The community cannot understand this behavior from the developers.
What do the fans say? They are shocked that the streamer publicly displays his cheating and that Bungie has not taken harsher action against such an attempt. The following can be heard on x.com:
- “If you can’t do it legally, then don’t cheat to do it…” – Rysorr
- “@BungieHelp @Bungie @Destiny2Team This violates the TOS; if it were anyone other than a streamer, he would be banned. You can’t just choose who gets warnings and who gets bans. The same rule for everyone.” – BeardedHound
- “So he gets a warning? lol. Your security team is a joke.” – jstockd2
- “He can’t just get away with it while others are banned without warning @Destiny2Team??” – iitzSiro_
