Destiny 2 receives a hotfix on the day of love. Players can go offline today, February 14th for update 6.3.0.9 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. We will keep you updated with all important information.
What you need to know today: Destiny 2 is currently preparing everything to ensure the smooth launch of the new DLC. There are a few sticking points left, and so the routine hotfix 6.3.0.9 is slated for today.
This will mainly address PvP issues. However, a few broken challenges and quests have also been found that need fixing. MeinMMO will tell you when you cannot play and what to-do list Bungie still has. The necessary downtime for this will, as always, be very short.
6:05 PM: Bungie has finished everything, and the servers are already back online. You can now download the update to log back into the game.
On PC, the download is 665.4MB, and once you’re done, a new message awaits you in the H.E.L.M. So hurry, Guardians!
5:45 PM: The Destiny 2 servers have just gone offline. Maintenance has begun.

Maintenance on 14.02. – All times and server downtime
These times are important today: Bungie’s update routine is short and concise. Thus, the effective downtime today will also only be 15 minutes (via twitter). The announced schedule is as follows:
- At 5:00 PM German time, maintenance works will start in the background on all platforms.
- From 5:45 PM the servers will go offline, and you will be automatically kicked from all activities.
- At around 6:00 PM the servers are expected to go online again, and update 6.3.0.9 will be rolled out for all platforms. After the download, you can log back into the game.
- The ongoing background maintenance will officially end at 7:00 PM, if everything goes smoothly.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may not be reachable correctly for a while after the update.
What changes with hotfix 6.3.0.9 in Season 19
This is what the hotfix brings today: Bungie has gone into a bit of a restraint mode. A few bugs likely won’t be fixed before the launch.
This includes a bug with immunity objects in PvP that could cause barricades, stasis storms, void souls, and glacier grenades, etc. to become indestructible. Bungie will not deliver a fix for this in Season 19 but will instead resolve it on Day 1 of Lightfall. The message to players via twitter is: “Create a little destruction (in game). As a reward.”
MeinMMO lists here other problems that Bungie is already aware of and also ones that our readers have pointed out, which could still be fixed before Lightfall.
- Visual effects of the exotic symmetry perk “Revolution” may still be visible for guardians even when the weapon is stowed.
- The crucible bounty “The Favor of the Hour” does not progress in dynamic control.
- The requirements for completing the seasonal challenge “Ice Singularity” of the ninth week are incorrectly stated in the description. Players must defeat targets with void or stasis effects in gambit matches to progress in this challenge.
- Player name changes are not infinitely customizable via bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to change their username again instead of receiving the message “You have no name changes available.”
A practical support tip for your PvP experience: There is a bug that players who receive an exit penalty in the competitive division cannot enter the playlist again after their penalty expires. This can be resolved by switching characters and playing another match in the playlist.
