What is Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 about?
The sequel tells a new, standalone story and brings fresh characters. Nothing is known yet about the specific plot. On the official website, Season 2 is teased with the following words:
In a city that thrives on the spectacle of violence, one question remains: If the world is blinded by extremes – how far do you have to go for your story to matter?
Who stars in Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2?
On June 28, 2026, the team released a new poster on x.com featuring four characters. Alongside this, new information about the English voice actors was revealed at Anime Expo:
- Clancy Brown voices Weak Kingsley, formerly known as King: An experienced Edgerunner whose best days are behind him
- Nazeeh Tarsha voices D, a Netrunner: He is searching for his clan’s murderer
- Valeria Rodriguez voices Roman Carax: He loves old films, even more than Braindances
- Kimoy Lee voices Talia Yang: She comes from the corporations and has connections to the Maelstrom gang
As soon as we know more about the German voice actors, we will update this information.
Given the first images, fans are reminded of another story.
Who is behind Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2?
The series is, as mentioned, a collaboration between the Polish developer CD Projekt Red and the Japanese animation studio Trigger.
Directed by Kai Ikarashi, who was the animation director in Season 1 but now holds the reins. Kanno Ichigo is the lead character designer. The producers, showrunners, and story writers are Masahiko Otsuka and Bartosz Sztybor. All of them were already involved in Season 1.
And we now know more about the opening song. It is called 10:15 Saturday Night and comes from the legendary band The Cure, from the year 1979.
