In Crimson Desert you have a huge map to explore. If you want to discover all the details, you need to uncover them. To do this, you must ring 8 special bells. Where you can find them, we will show you here.
What do the bells do? In Pywel, there are many bells that you must ring at various locations. They function like the viewpoints from Assassin’s Creed or the map pillars from Elden Ring. Those who interact with them can uncover a part of the map to learn more about the surrounding landscape and its secrets. So if you want to explore everything, you should find all 8.
Where can I find the bells? The bells are scattered throughout various cities in Pywel. On the map, you will find the exact locations. Some of them are easy to reach, while others require climbing. Below the map, we also list the names of the cities so you know where to look for the individual bells.

- Bell of Hernand
- Bell of Scholastein
- Bell of Calphade
- Bell of Demeniss
- Bell of Delesyia
- Bell of Tommaso
- Bell of Varnia
- Bell of Pailune
Is there a problem with the map? Not directly. If you have uncovered the map and are now shown various destinations, it can be a bit confusing at first. Often, you may have already completed some caves and dungeons, but these are still marked, without a green check or similar to indicate that you have already completed the location.
To check if your next target has been visited, you need to go to your journal. Under “Knowledge”, you can see all the caves, which are marked with dots:
- No dot means not discovered and not visited
- One dot means discovered, but not visited
- Two dots mean discovered and visited
So you can quickly determine which places you still need to visit and which you might want to ignore. This greatly facilitates the exploration of Pywel.
That was all the important information about the bells of Crimson Desert. Aside from that, there are various other places you should visit. If your map is not uncovered yet, it can be difficult. In this case, it is especially worthwhile to rely on interactive maps. We will show you which ones are worth it: Crimson Desert Map: Interactive map shows all bells, fast travel teleporters, Abyss artifacts, and more
