Where can you find the capybara? In Crimson Desert, you can find countless different types of animals. While man’s best friends are already waiting for you in the first city, you can also swim with capybaras at the end of the world.
For that, you must first head to the area “Crimson Desert” and go to the place “Wildbloom Springs” at the very bottom right edge of the biome. There, you will find a kind of oasis where a lake lies in the middle of the desert. In this lake are several splashing capybaras leisurely swimming around, undisturbed.

What can you do with the capybara? Unlike dogs and cats, you cannot take the capybaras in Crimson Desert as loyal companions on your adventures. They prefer to stay among themselves and enjoy the warm sun shining down on them while swimming in the cool waters.
A visit can still be worthwhile. If you swim with the capybaras in the lake, you will find a treasure chest under a rock ledge. This contains useful shoes that make climbing easier, as shown in the video.

What pets can you have in Crimson Desert? Although there are many different animals in Crimson Desert, very few are suitable as pets. The game differentiates between pets, mounts, and animals that simply follow their own will.
While capybaras belong to the latter category, you can only have dogs and cats as true pets. According to Crimsondesert.gg, there are 18 different types, each with different colors. This adds up to a total of 112 different types of dogs and cats that can join you.
In the mounts of the game, you can ride not only on horses like the legendary Rokade, but also on wild boars, lions, tigers, or bears. And of course, you can also fly through the air with your dragon. In total, there are 72 different mounts in Crimson Desert.
