With a bit of luck, you might encounter a Gold Goblin in the world of Crimson Desert, reminiscent of Diablo. MeinMMO reveals what is known about this treasure carrier.
What is this Gold Goblin? The goblins in Crimson Desert are often small, green-skinned NPCs dedicated to acquiring wealth. Therefore, they are frequently encountered as part of the trading guild or thieves’ gangs.
If you are lucky, you might meet a special, very rare goblin on the peaceful streets of Pywel. The worker carries a large treasure chest on his back that actually contains gold. Unfortunately, there is currently no information about fixed routes or times of day. Content creator Gametime Tribe captured his encounter with the Gold Goblin on YouTube.

Without Violence to the Treasure
How do I get the gold? Stand near the goblin and draw your weapon. The carrier will then drop his goods in fright. If you put your weapon away, the NPC will walk away, but without his treasure chest. You can now open it without witnesses and grab a gold bar.
A small nod to a great classic: When one hears Gold Goblin, one surely thinks of Diablo right away. There, the little thieves are welcome guests as they promise sparkling treasures if one can defeat them before they disappear through a portal.
However, the very first Gold Goblin appeared in the arcade classic Golden Axe from 1989. The little thieves appear there regularly without attacking the player. However, if you hit them with attacks, they leave behind not gold, but meat for healing and valuable potions.
What to do with the gold bar? Absolutely do not sell it to any NPC trader for 190 silver. Instead, take the bar to the bank in Hernand City and receive 500 silver pieces there. You can also invest your wealth there to earn some more money passively, albeit with certain risks.
Where can I get more gold bars? Put on a mask and head to a place where many nobles are standing around. You can scan them with your lamp to see what they are carrying in their pockets. Bags or scrolls often shimmer through the fabric, but occasionally you will also see the shape of a gold bar.
In such a case, simply bump into the respective NPC, press the pickpocket button at the right moment, and then make your escape – out of the red radius of the crime scanner before time runs out. However, you can already secure another gold bar early in the game with much less risk: Find gold bars early – So you can be set with 500 silver initially
