In Conan Exiles, you are at a disadvantage as a lone barbarian. It’s much better to team up with other desert savages in a clan, a sort of guild. But how do you do that? We’ll show you!
Every barbarian in Conan Exiles starts alone from their cross, because the top barbarian king Conan simply leaves you behind. The first people you typically encounter later are usually rude NPCs, who may not be wearing pants but want to test sharp stone axes on your heads. And from there, it doesn’t get any better, as countless wild beasts and even more brutal NPCs lurk around every corner.
Conan Exiles Clans: Together we are strong!
Of course, you can get by alone, but teaming up with other players makes it overall easier in the wild world of Conan. These organized groups are called “Clans” in the game, and those who are members of such a group share experience points, chests, and building spots with their comrades.
“That sounds great, how do I join one?” First, someone needs to found such a clan. Simply navigate from the inventory to the menu item “Clan” in the tabs at the top of the screen.
How to invite people to your clan on PS4, Xbox, and PC
Once the clan is founded, you still need members. Currently, you can unfortunately only invite them if they are standing in front of you. So it’s best to plan a notable meeting point in the game world so you don’t search forever a hyena.
Stand facing potential clan members and hold down the action button. With default settings, this is:
- on PC: E.
- On Xbox: X.
- On PS4: Square.
A radial menu appears with options, one of which is “Clan Invitation”. Once you do this, the addressed player can join your clan and participate in the joint conquest of the wasteland.
