On time for Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Nvidia has released a new graphics driver. This provides a decent performance boost with the feature set DLSS 3.5 for increased frame rates.
With the launch of Season 1 in CoD MW3, the game receives not only new content. At the same time, graphics card manufacturer Nvidia has released an updated driver.
With version 546.29, the feature set DLSS 3.5 now enters all multiplayer lobbies of the various game modes. This also applies to the Battle Royale mode Warzone as of now. Depending on which RTX graphics card you own, you will benefit more or less from an increased frame rate.
All game modes of CoD MW3 at the launch of Season 1 with more FPS thanks to Nvidia DLSS 3.5
What can the new driver do? The version 546.29 now brings DLSS 3.5 for all game modes in CoD MW3. This includes Warzone, which previously only used DLSS 2. With this comes the ability to activate ray tracing with ray reconstruction. A popular mode from CoD MW2, however, is reportedly no longer supported in the game according to the CoD developers.
Thanks to the ray reconstruction integrated exclusively in DLSS 3.5, reflections and lighting effects appear much more realistic. Better lighting and reflections are, however, only reserved for the lobbies before the start of rounds.

In conjunction with the upscaling technology, the actual core feature of Nvidia DLSS technology, the driver update delivers more FPS for all owners of an RTX graphics card. This applies down to the old RTX20 series.
Players with a card from the RTX40 series will benefit from an additional performance boost through frame generation. Using this technique, an AI-generated image is inserted between two images calculated by the graphics card. As a result, the gaming experience feels even smoother thanks to an increased frame rate.
Where can you find the driver? If you have Geforce Experience installed, you will be offered the driver update directly. You may need to manually initiate the search in Geforce Experience using the “Drivers” tab.
For all those using just the pure graphics driver in the system, Nvidia has the driver available for direct download. We have included the direct download link for Windows 10/11 in the 64-bit version here.
How large is the driver file? Nvidia specifies the download size as 669.34 MB. This should allow the driver to be downloaded quickly even on slower internet connections. The size when downloading via Geforce Experience may vary slightly.
After the installation of the driver and the release of Season 1 in CoD MW3, you can directly benefit from the advantages of DLSS 3.5.
This will get you well prepared for the Christmas event that comes with Season 1.
