In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone, the “Reloaded Update” for Season 5 launched this morning (August 25, 8:00 AM). You can find out what the playlists look like now and what the patch notes contain here on MeinMMO.
What’s going on with CoD? Season 5 has been entertaining players of the current “Call of Duty” highlights Modern Warfare & Warzone for almost 3 weeks and is now entering the next round. This morning (August 25) at 8:00 AM local time, the “Season 5 Reloaded” update went live. Here you can find:
- Information about the update
- The new playlists
- The general patch notes
- In another article, you can find everything about the new content
Call of Duty: MW & Warzone: Season 5 Reloaded – Update as of 25.08.
How big is the update? A common question with every CoD update: Will everything fit on my drive? The patch size is quite reasonable compared to previous updates:
- PS4: 10.6 GB
- Xbox: 14.09 GB
- PC: 11.3 GB (Warzone only) / 17.6 GB (MW & Warzone)
The sizes of the data packages may vary but are in this range.
What do the new playlists look like? The update also brings new playlists to the game. So you won’t have to wait until the evening, as is usually the case.
Modern Warfare
- Ground War
- Gunfight: Blueprint
- Ground War Reinforcement
- Confrontation – Verdansk
- Shoot or Ship, whatever
Warzone
- BR Solos / Duos / Trios / Quads
- Plunder: Quad
- King Slayer Trio
What can the new modes do? A new mode is set for both MW & Warzone. In “Ground War Reinforcement,” 32 soldiers fight for the capture of 3 flags. If you go down, you cannot respawn directly but must wait for your team to capture a flag. This back and forth continues until one of the 16-man teams captures all three flags.
“Confrontation – Verdansk” is a smaller mode for MW, where two 2-man teams battle on the new Gunfight map “Verdansk Stadium” on the soccer field in various modes for victory.
The “King Slayer Trio” mode for Warzone functions similarly to “Team Rumble”. It is not a “Battle Royale”, but rather a team deathmatch with 51 participants. You fight as a trio against 16 other teams, and the 5 teams with the most points are marked “targets” that you can eliminate for extra points. Each time you eliminate one of these “kings”, your team also gets a killstreak. To prevent it from ending in a massive camping situation, the gas circle moves, but it does not close.

CoD 2020 is Currently the Big Topic
What’s happening with CoD? On August 19, players solved the big mystery about CoD 2020. It is now clear that the new CoD will be called “Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War”. After almost a week of “Easter Egg” hunting, in the end, the first trailer for the new CoD actually appeared. Check here if you want to take a look at the known leaks and follow the hunt for the trailer:
The final reveal is scheduled for August 26, around 7:30 PM our time.
In-game, a lot has also changed. The problem with the “Demon weapons” and the One-Shot-FAMAS have been fixed, but the issue with the distorted weapons has reappeared in Warzone.
Additionally, there was a balance update that nerfed the stable Bruen Mk9 and adjusted the Warzone meta. Since then, players have been searching for the new OP rifle in Warzone, and assault rifles are particularly high on the lists. Here you will find 3 alternatives after the Bruen nerf.
