Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is here and brings various new content right from the start. However, some things will also follow during the Season. Here is an overview.
What is Season 1? This starts a seasonal system in Modern Warfare, which brings new content such as maps or modes each time. A lot of new content will enter the game right at the start.
Throughout the Season, more content will be added. We will show you all the content you can look forward to in Season 1.
The following content awaits you in Season 1
The following maps are coming: Three additional maps will be added to Season 1 at a later date. They include:
- Multiplayer Map: Vacant and Shipment are the names of the two maps that will be coming later.
- Gunfight Map: The map Shipment will also follow here, so you can play it anew not only in Multiplayer.
What will be added to Special Ops: With Bomb Squad, the bomb defusers are coming to Modern Warfare. You will need to diffuse the bombs that were planted in a city in Urzikstan.
Additionally, the operation “Just Reward” will enter the game. In this mission, you must hunt down the head of finances from Al Qatala and cut off the money supply.
The following modes will still come: Later in the Season, the infected mode will also come to regular Multiplayer.
Additionally, the new O.S.P. Gunfight mode will allow you to start completely without equipment and then gradually collect it during the match.
What you can already play in Season 1
The following maps are new: Right at the start of the Season, you can dive into 4 new maps in different modes. Here’s what’s available:
- Multiplayer Map: With Crash, you will find a completely new map for Multiplayer.
- Gunfight Map: Two new maps are waiting for you in this mode. They are called Atrium and Cargo.
- Ground War Map: In the largest mode of Modern Warfare, you can now play on the Port of Verdansk map. Parts of the map are already known from other CoD titles.
The following weapons are new: You can now play with two new weapons. They include:
- Ram-7: an automatic assault rifle inspired by the Israeli Tavor TAR-21.
- Holger-26: A LMG with a sight rail and a drum magazine for plenty of ammunition.
This is new in Special Ops: Two new missions are waiting for you here. In Pitch Black, you must visit Barkov’s empty estate and transmit information to your rover.
In Grounded, you will fight against Al Qatala soldiers who are active at the former Barkov airport.
The following modes are new: Two multiplayer modes have been added. These include the Reinforcement mode. Here you collect points for revives and must take positions to win.
Reinforcement is a very objective-oriented mode and grants a lot of XP, just the right thing to quickly level up with the Modern Warfare Battle Pass.
There is also Crash 24/7. Here you will be continuously playing on the new Crash map and experiencing various modes.
These private modes are new: For this new mode, there are also 3 new private modes. They are:
- Delivered: Here you must find tags and bring them to the target mark.
- Infected: All those eliminated become infected and then turn into hunters. You must either survive or infect everyone.
- Reinforcement: The same mode as in normal Multiplayer, just as an alternative mode.
