What is the plot of Bridgerton Season 5? In Season 5 of Bridgerton, the story revolves around Francesca Stirling. In Season 4, she lost her husband. 2 years after this event, Season 5 is set to take place. Francesca wants to remarry, but the return of John’s cousin Michaela brings emotional chaos and the question of whether she should follow her new feelings.
Season 5 is based on the 6th book of the series by Julia Quinn. The character Michaela already differs significantly from the book in the Netflix series, as Michaela is not a woman there but Michael, the cousin. Thus, Season 5 also tells the story of the first queer main couple in the series.
