Borderlands 3 is getting a new update that fixes several bugs. Additionally, there are two announcements that many players may find exciting.
When is the update coming? The update will come on the night of Thursday, December 5th to December 6th. The hotfixes will be activated as usual when you spend a few minutes in the main menu.
Update bids farewell to Bloody Harvest: First, it’s time to say goodbye. With the update the Bloody Harvest event will disappear. This means: No ghosts, no event weapons, and no Terror sales anymore.
The map “Heck” is also history for now. However, the developers hinted that it could return during Halloween 2020. Some fixes will also come with this update.
What’s in the new update – and there’s more to come
These bugs will be fixed: The patch notes list several smaller bugs that will be fixed. Among others, the following corrections will be made:
- The “Spiritual Driver” class mod distributed damage for each type of damage type instead of just for weapons.
- Amara was moving too fast in some builds. A point that is also true for Zane.
- Loot landed in unreachable places.
- Players accessed locations that should not be accessible.
- Some of Zane’s abilities did not function correctly.
This is what the developers will deliver next: The current patch addresses mainly smaller issues. One annoying bug that came with the last major patch is the broken Guardian Ranks. Gearbox announced that the next major patch would bring a fix for this problem.
This patch will also bring the new Handsome Jack DLC, for which there are now also first gameplay images. Since the patch will be released on December 19th, the Guardian Ranks should also finally be operational at that time.
A small Christmas gift: Finally, Gearbox announced that Maliwan Takedown will be scaled based on the number of players for a limited time at the end of the month. This means: It will be easier for players to complete the Takedown solo or with fewer than four people. This way, everyone can grab the strong Maliwan loot!
