In Borderlands 3, the new patch went live. In addition to two events, balancing is also being adjusted again. We show you what it contains.
When is the patch coming? The new hotfix for Borderlands 3 was supposed to go live at 6:00 PM. As usual, keep an eye on your main menu: If the “Hotfixes Applied” sign appears, everything is ready.
What does the patch bring? This is a more extensive patch that includes not only a double event but also several bug fixes and balancing operations.
What’s in the new patch – Events and Balancing
These events are coming: With the hotfix, on one hand, the “Farm Fever” starts, on the other hand, the scaled version of Maliwan Takedown.
- The Farm Fever increases the chance of getting legendary loot. And that from quite a variety of larger enemies – so it’s worth farming bosses and rare spawns.
- Maliwan Takedown, on the other hand, will be easier for two weeks after the event was originally supposed to start on New Year’s. At least the difficulty will be adjusted according to the size of your group. Thanks to Farm Fever, a run of the raid should be doubly rewarding.
This is being adjusted: After a long time without balancing changes, this patch is adjusting some values again. This is mainly because some new content from the Moxxi DLC apparently did not perform as intended. This applies, for example, to the super-strong Ion Cannon, which is among the best DLC weapons.
This weapon is so strong that fans were already fearing a nerf upon finding it. That is coming now as well, but it is minor: Only the reload time will be increased to 5 seconds, in addition, it now consumes at least 6 units of ammunition per shot. The extremely high damage, however, remains the same: “The Ion Cannon is a strong weapon, and we do not want to change that. It just performed a little too well,” the developers said in the patch notes.
Additionally, the following DLC bosses were made slightly tougher as the developers felt they did not present a sufficient challenge:
- Fabricator
- Freddie
- ST4NL3Y
- Constructor
- Tony Bordel
- Tricksy Nick
- Third Rail
Furthermore, several bug fixes as well as a buff for several skills for the vault Hunters were made. Both Moze, Zane, and Fl4K received improvements to individual values – only Amara is left out. You can find more details on corrections and adjustments in the patch notes.
This way, Borderlands 3 is back in its usual update rhythm. What comes next?
