Borderlands 3 is celebrating its birthday and gifting you with free loot. MeinMMO shows you how to secure the gifts.
What kind of gift is this? The popular loot shooter Borderlands 3 turned five years old on September 13, 2024. To celebrate, the developer studio Gearbox Software has come up with a little gift for you: free loot.
The developers shared a so-called SHiFT code on X.com. You can redeem these codes in the Borderlands games to receive cosmetic items or keys for loot crates.
When you redeem a SHiFT code, you might receive a golden key, for example. You can use this key to open the golden chest in Borderlands 3 on Sanctuary 3 and obtain powerful equipment from it.

What is the code? The SHiFT code that Gearbox is gifting you for the 5th birthday of Borderlands 3 is:

However, you only have until October 13 to redeem the code and secure the loot.
What does the code contain? With the code, you will receive 5 Golden Keys and 5 Diamond Keys.
How do you redeem the code? You can redeem a SHiFT code on the Gearbox SHiFT page or through the social menu in Borderlands.
