The next installment of the Battlefield series, Battlefield V, was released on November 9, 2018, and is themed around World War II. While in other installments it was still common to purchase new maps and expansions separately or through a premium pass, all further content for Battlefield V is supposed to be free. Battlefield V is available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
