When does Battlefield 6 Season 4 start? Season 4 of Battlefield 6 starts on July 21, 2026. Before that, you need to download an update that will implement Phase 1 of the season and its new content in the game. The first phase will be named “Pacific Front.”
Phase 2 of Season 4 will start around a month later, on August 18, 2026, and will also feature new content. You can already see the first trailer for Season 4 here:
Naval Warfare with Warboats and an Iconic Weapon
This is what Battlefield 6 brings with Phase 1 of Season 4:
- the new, largest map of Battlefield 6: Tsuru Reef,
- 1x new assault rifle: EF88, a versatile bullpup rifle
- 1x new carbine: Bren 3, which excels at medium range
- 1x new DMR, the VSSM, based on the famous AS-Val.
The new map “Tsuru Reef” is a tropical paradise archipelago in the Pacific. Here you will find various small islands with mountains and steep cliffs equipped with military installations and a multi-story luxury resort. Additionally, you have the opportunity to play all vehicle classes on the map: tanks, helicopters, jets, and the new warboats – everything is included.
The new DMR “VSSM” will be immediately recognizable to long-time shooter players and Battlefield veterans by its optics: The rifle is obviously based on the AS-VAL and comes equipped with an integrated suppressor. Furthermore, the standard semi-automatic firing DMR can be modified with an attachment to become a fully automatic rifle.
This is what Phase 2 of Season 4 will bring in August:
Phase 2 of Season 4 also has some highlights, foremost the return of a popular Battlefield map, new game modes, and a powerful sniper rifle, whose very name already sends shivers down the spines of many sniper haters.
- Wake Island – the popular naval warfare map from Battlefield 1942 returns, including destructible bridges and 2 aircraft carriers as bases.
- A new sniper rifle: the HTI, the sniper rifle with the subsequently largest range in the game.
- “Top Gun” theme, which defines phase two and its contents, including new jets and characters related to the theme.
The focus of the “Top Gun” theme is on two new game modes, Carrier Strike and Fighter Sweep: Carrier Strike is a time-limited reinterpretation of “Carrier Assault,” where land, sea, and air forces must work together to be the first to destroy the opposing aircraft carrier.
A new Top Gun-inspired mission for Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep, a mode where only jets fight against each other. The core of the mode is the new two-seater fighter jet that will be added in Season 4.
Phase 3 of Season 4 will follow in September, but the developers have not revealed anything about its content yet.
With Season 4, Battlefield 6 is also set to receive some quality-of-life improvements. For example, the developers announced that they will now introduce custom lobbies with various admin functions. In Portal, you will then have the possibility to assign teams and squads yourself before the start of a match. Additionally, a new spectator mode will be released, allowing you to observe verified conquest and battle royale matches as a viewer.
