ARK: Survival Evolved gets 3 new creatures and also a huge gorilla as a raid boss.
“King Kong” awaits brave players
Patch 240 of ARK: Survival Evolved has added several new features to the PC version of the game. The focus is on the three new creatures that players can tame or hunt to gain valuable allies or simply to acquire more resources.
The Arthropluera is a rideable, massive variant of the millipede. As if that weren’t disgusting enough, the creature has also been given a poison attack, allowing it to spout acid at medium range.
The Sabertooth Salmon appears in schools underwater and attacks unsuspecting creatures to slowly drain their blood. Those brave enough to take on the animals will be rewarded with high-quality food – premium meat awaits the hunters.
Significantly less dangerous, but really cute is the Lystrosaurus. It can perform tricks, but is not much help in combat. Nevertheless, it is useful: once tamed, the player receives a bonus on the experience points gained.
In addition, there is also new weaponry. With primitive bolas, enemies can be attacked and incapacitated from a distance. A hit causes the affected players to fall to the ground; flying dinosaurs are also forced to the ground.
Those seeking the ultimate thrill should grab their tribe mates and head into battle against the Megapithecus. According to the developers, the massive gorilla is considered the “toughest fight ever” and presents players with new, exciting challenges. A first look at the battle and all the creatures can be found above in the trailer.
