The world's largest fanfiction website Archive of Our Own is down for two to four weeks. MeinMMO presents four alternatives, including: Webnovel.
Webnovel.com is the only website on this list that I have not tested myself. This is the English version of the Chinese site and app China Literature. Here, mainly translated Chinese and Korean web novels are available. But there is also a fanfiction section.
However, most content is behind a paywall, which does not really make Webnovel a good alternative to AO3. At first glance, I also see most of the AI-generated covers here. At least the site has a German version.
If you’re into exactly the genre of web novels and fanfictions offered here, you should check out Webnovel. Everyone else is probably better served with our other four alternatives.
