The world's largest fanfiction website Archive of Our Own is down for two to four weeks. MeinMMO presents four alternatives. This is Tumblr!
Similar to Fanfiction.net, Tumblr.com is an English-language platform. Its actual focus is not on fanfiction, but rather it is a blog site that has been taken over by fans: Here you will find not only fanfictions but also fan art, fan comics, analyses, or indeed diary entries.
To use Tumblr, you need a free account, and setting up your own blog can take anywhere from set up in 5 minutes
to I get artistic for three days
. However, if you just want to read, you do not need to fill your own blog.
Unlike dedicated fanfiction sites, there is no unified tagging system, and you cannot search for multiple tags at once; instead, you must specifically find those relevant to your fandoms. If you have specific pairs that you enjoy reading, it’s best to search for their couple names, like Reylo or Sasusaku.
If you are particularly fond of specific characters, search directly for their names. But be careful with nuances: In the Westeros universe, for example, there are now two characters named Daeron we have seen on screen in speaking roles. In such cases, you need to search more specifically.
