Where can I find Hornets? The best way to get Hornets is to visit the Spaceport while the “Hidden Bunker” event is active. Now head to the center of the map and try to climb one of the many roofs.
Hornets often patrol in various areas of the maps, together with Wasps or Rocket Gunners. If the Spaceport is not for you, you can also visit the Swamp of the Dam Battlefields. This area often has smaller groups of flying ARCs, and one of them might also be a Wasp.
Destroy Hornets and find Drivers
How do I best destroy Hornets? The Hornets are moderately armored flying units that attack you with a kind of “Taser” and shock you for a short time upon hit. For this reason, you need to react quickly when you see them.
Firearms like the Anvil are particularly suitable as weapons. Focus your fire mainly on their thrusters located on the side of their chassis. Just two shots are enough to destabilize them. When they no longer have enough lift, they will crash to the ground and explode.
If you are not particularly accurate shooters, you can also resort to homing grenades like the Wolfpacks. You just have to throw them once into the air, and the rocket will take care of the rest, bringing them down with an explosion.
How do I get the Hornet Drivers? After defeating each Hornet, you have a certain chance of receiving a Hornet Driver when looting the remains. A drop is unfortunately not guaranteed, so you will need to invest some time farming to get the quantity you need.
What can Hornet Drivers do? The Hornet Drivers can shock your opponents, whether human or mechanical, when thrown. Besides that, you can also use them for upgrading your workbench. Some NPCs also require a few Hornet Drivers in order to complete their quests. Additionally, those who possess the blueprint for the Showstopper can build shocking grenades with the Hornet Drivers.
