The story of Witchfire takes us to a dark world where war rages between witches and the Vatican. The Vatican employs forbidden pagan magic to defeat the witches.
This magic transforms willing sinners into immortal witch hunters known as Preyers
. You take on the role of such a Preyer, armed with powerful spells and strange weapons from the Vatican, hunting witches through a dark world. Your goal is to find the infamous and powerful witch in order to retrieve a legendary artifact.
As in their game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
, the development studio The Astronauts relies on photogrammetry technology to create a dark fantasy world.
- The game has been available since September 20. Currently in Early Access only at Epic. The release on Steam is planned for a later date.
