At the Summer Game Fest 2025, a new RPG called Aniimo was announced, which shares similarities with well-known games like Pokémon and the popular Palworld. We have gathered everything you need to know about the game here.
What kind of game is it? Aniimo is an upcoming action RPG from Kingsglory set in an open world called Idyll. Players will collect and tame the titular magical Aniimo, cute little creatures that each have their own personalities, abilities, and developments – similar to Pokémon or Palworld.
In addition to collection and development mechanics, Aniimo features dynamic real-time battles, puzzle elements, exploration, and later also PvE and PvP features. Notably, players can connect with their Aniimos, gaining new abilities and switching perspectives.

When will Aniimo be released? Aniimo is set to be released in 2026. There is no specific date yet.
On which platforms can you play Aniimo? You will be able to play Aniimo on PC, Xbox Series X|S, as well as Android and iOS.
Is there a beta? Currently, you can sign up for an upcoming closed beta, which is set to take place starting January 23, 2026, on the official website via a form. The registration deadline is January 20 at 4:59 PM CET, and approved participants will be announced on January 21. You can find all important information about the upcoming second beta here:
From July 4, 2025 – July 10, 2025, there was a first closed beta (see aniimo.com). At least one more beta is expected before the release.
How much will Aniimo cost? Aniimo will be free-to-play, meaning it will initially be free. There will be an in-game shop where you can purchase content with real money.
Can you pre-register? Yes, you can pre-register on the official website.
Do I need an internet connection to play the game? Yes, you must be online at all times to play Aniimo.
Will Aniimo have gacha mechanics? There is currently no official information on that.

Can Aniimo be played in coop? You will likely be able to play Aniimo in coop with up to 4 players.
Is there crossplay? Yes, there will be crossplay between platforms.
Is there cross-save and cross-progression? Yes, saving should work across platforms. This means you can play the same save on your mobile devices, PC, and Xbox without losing progress.
