In Elden Ring, there are not only weapons but also consumables and tools that you can use in combat against enemy players. A fan has now demonstrated the effectiveness of a tool and shows how it is underestimated.
Which tool is being discussed? In Elden Ring, there are various items, including tools that have an unlimited usage amount but drain your FP. One of these items is the Mimic Veil, and although it looks like half a skirt, it possesses one of the most useful properties in the game: stealth.
The item mimics objects nearby according to its description. This means that if you use the item correctly, you can achieve a camouflage that even the best sniffer dogs in Elden Ring cannot see through.
A player in Elden Ring has now tested the item in PvP and demonstrates how powerful its property truly is.
How to attack like a predator out of nowhere
How helpful is the item? Reddit user Shadow_9207 went to the Mountaintops of the Giants to engage in PvP. He found a world for his invasion and took the opportunity to infiltrate a group of three players.
We have embedded the clip of his ambush here:
He used the Mimic Veil and transformed into a ghost deer. Slowly but surely, Shadow_9207 approached his enemies like a predator, and when he got close enough, he used the skill of Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear and eliminated two players.
His opponents didn’t see him coming, as his camouflage blended so well with the surroundings that they mistook him for one of the many animated spectral animals found in the Mountaintops of the Giants.
If you enjoy playing PvP and infiltrating other worlds, the Mimic Veil might prove useful. In PvE, we advise against using it, as your opponents will always see through the camouflage and attack you.
Where can I find the Mimic Veil? The Mimic Veil is located in Stormveil Castle. Use the Site of Grace “Wall Tower” and head north through the door from the room. Now move east to a small pillar and use this as a reference point.
Now take a running start, run past the pillar, and jump onto the nearest roof to your east. Now jump off the roof to the next lower level in a northern direction. Turn 180 degrees and take the next passage into a dark room. To the east, you should now find a small staircase next to a fireplace and another passage you need to go through.
After the passage, keep to the right and go through the open door outside and then directly into the next room in front of you. You should now be in a well-lit room with a large table and a pedestal. First, defeat the knight in front of you, then approach the pedestal. On the pedestal, there is a chest containing the Mimic Veil.
