For under €20, you can currently get a sci-fi adventure on Steam that is based on the brilliant book of a famous author.
Which game are we talking about? We’re referring to The Invincible. The adventure is based on the eponymous book by the Polish hard sci-fi author Stanisław Lem. However, the story does not copy the book but rather tells an original tale.

What is the game about? In The Invincible, you take on the role of the highly competent and insightful astrobiologist Yasna. She, along with her crew, ends up on the unexplored planet Regis III during a space race.
After landing on Regis III, the scientific expedition turns into a search mission: You follow the traces of your lost crew, but the planet is anything but safe. Throughout your journey, you’ll make decisions that lead to one of 11 different endings.
In terms of gameplay, The Invincible offers what players – sometimes neutrally, sometimes derogatorily – call a “walking simulator.” You spend most of the game exploring the planet on foot or with a vehicle. The focus is on exploration, not action.
What earns the game its very positive rating on Steam is the story and atmosphere. The Invincible, like the book, deals with a profound question: Why are humans always drawn to places where they don’t belong?
