Twitch has introduced a new feature that allows users to object to the use of their data for AI training. MeinMMO shows you where to find the settings.
You can easily oppose the use of your streams for generative AI, but the required setting is somewhat hidden.
- Click on your profile picture in the top right
- Go to settings
- Select “Security and Privacy”
- Scroll until you find the option “Training for generative AI” and set the toggle to off
Alternatively, you can go directly to the settings.
With these settings, you prevent your content from being used to train generative AI. However, AI features like automatic captions or AutoMod are not affected by this.
Also, keep in mind that the setting only applies to your own channel. Once you interact in another content creator’s chat, their settings apply, and your messages could theoretically be made available to AI. There is currently no official labeling from Twitch, but some streamers are already indicating in their tags that they have disabled AI features.
