Who are the Altmer? The Altmer are an ancient, proud race. They see themselves as the leading race of Tamriel and are highly cultured. This is also reflected in their vast collection of books and artworks. The homeland of the Altmer is the Summerset Isles.
These islands are located in the west of Tamriel. A vast continent that serves as the backdrop for ESO. After several years, Tamriel has been nearly fully explored. Both players and we from MeinMMO have thought about where ESO will take us next:
What defines the Altmer? The Altmer possess a high magical affinity. Their racial bonuses make them powerful magic users. Therefore, they are particularly popular as magicka DPS and healers. With a High Elf, you have good resource management, which benefits you in both roles.
What racial skills do they have?
- Noble: Increases your experience gain, increases experience gain in using destruction staves
- Magicka Regeneration: When casting a class ability, you receive magicka or stamina back, depending on which stat is lower. This can proc every 6 seconds. It also reduces the damage you take when you use a channelled ability or a concentrated skill.
- Syrabane’s Blessing: Increases your maximum magicka
- Elemental Talent: Enhances your magic power
