Alan Ritchson, who played the lead role in the Amazon series Reacher, is seen by many as a fitting candidate for Batman. He recently expressed in an interview why he would like to play the Dark Knight.
A new film featuring Batman: The Brave and The Bold, directed by James Gunn, will be released in the DC Universe.
However, it is not yet known who will play the lead role. Many fans believe that Reacher star Alan Ritchson would be perfect for the role – and he seems to be enthusiastic about the idea.

“I want to be Bruce Wayne!”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on April 3, 2024, the question arose whether he would prefer to play the hero Batman or the villain Joker. Alan Ritchson replied that Joaquin Phoenix already embodies the Joker well.
However, he would immediately take on the role of Batman. Enthusiastically, he said: “I would love to play Batman, I said it! Okay, I will shout it from the rooftops: ‘I want to be Bruce Wayne!'”

The 41-year-old further explained why he finds the role of the hero so interesting. For him, it’s less about physical strength and more about Batman’s cognitive power:
The thing about Batman is – do you know what his superpower is? Intelligence: The guy is the smartest superhero out there.
He is resourceful and has all sorts of gadgets, but he is super smart. I want to be that guy and also have a cave with hypercars, sports cars, and cool motorcycles.
