For weeks, the endgame players of Aion 2 have been waiting for the return of the Sanctum Raid: Ludra. Now the developers have revealed their plan for the comeback.
When is Ludra returning? The Sanctum Raid: Ludra is set to make its comeback in Aion 2 on November 4, 2026, with new mechanics. The normal mode will be available to all characters with an item level of 2,800 or higher. The hard mode is aimed at heroes with an item level of 3,000 or higher.
With the comeback of the raid, the developers are planning a fresh event for registration rewards, a boost for your Od energy, new Twitch Drops, a kind of bootcamp, and an in-game event focused on completing the Ludra challenge before anyone else. You can find all the details about the various events on the next page.

The West is getting a Ludra version that no one knows
Why was Ludra even gone? The Sanctum Raid: Ludra presented the toughest PvE challenge at the launch of Aion 2. However, due to their prior knowledge from Korea and Taiwan, some guilds were able to conquer Ludra shortly after the MMORPG’s launch.
The Ludra equipment pieces that were looted back then were, like the raid, also temporarily removed. Once the Sanctum reopens its gates on November 4, the loot should be back in the pockets of its owners.

Why is timing difficult? After a long drought, MMO fans are going to face an unusual luxury problem in the coming weeks. More will be released than can be played:
- October 28: The expansion Wolves of Mordor is released for Lord of the Rings Online
- November 3: The cozy MMO Loftia goes into Early Access on Steam
- November 4: The Ludra raid lands in Aion 2
- November 5: WoW Forever launches here in Europe
We doubt that the new, old endgame content of Aion 2 will be able to bring back many of the genre fans who have already left as of November 4.
On the contrary: We expect a historic rush on the servers of Forever starting November 5th. The beta was already much larger than Blizzard expected. What do you think? And what are you playing in the coming weeks? Feel free to let us know in the comments. The future of the genre looks really good right now: If Jagex makes a new MMORPG, genre fans should rejoice…
