If you’re into stylish action and spectacular combos, then the “Devil May Cry” series is just right for you. The latest installment is getting rave reviews on Steam and currently doesn’t cost much.
What kind of game is this? In March 2019, Devil May Cry 5 was released as the latest part of the action series surrounding Dante, the legendary demon hunter. On Steam, the game is offered at its lowest price until April 16 (according to steamdb.info): €7.49 for the Standard Edition.

What is the game about? The story takes place several years after the events of part 4 and follows three characters: Dante, Nero, and V. The city of Red Grave City is threatened by a demon invasion, and V hires Dante and Nero to eliminate this danger.
In addition to his mission, Nero also has a personal goal: He is on the hunt for the demon that severed his demonic arm “Devil Bringer.” In its place, he now carries a mechanical prosthesis.

Devil May Cry 5 is loved by players on Steam: Out of over 92,000 reviews on Steam, 96% are positive. Many love the game for its outrageous humor and extravagant action. You don’t even have to be an expert to take out the demon spawn in style.
- oreoshank describes the game as follows (via Steam): “You press a few buttons. Things explode. The music starts. Suddenly, you’re in the air, pulling off 12-hit combos and taunting before you land again. […] The game wants you to shine.”

However, the focus on combos can also be off-putting for some players. “If I wanted to play a game to learn combos, I would play a fighting game,” writes Derek (via Steam).
Unfortunately, there is no free demo for the game. However, the entry hurdle is at least lower due to the discount. If you buy the game and don’t like it, you can still take advantage of the return policy on Steam.
