The official release of the Xbox Series X is still pending. However, some players have apparently already received their consoles. The only downside is that at least one of them had the wrong generation in the package…
What happened? An Xbox player posted their preorder in the subreddit for Xbox Series X. His thread has the simple title: “So, I just got my preordered All Access Series X…”
Attached is a picture. However, it does not show the hoped-for Xbox Series X, but rather the predecessor, the Xbox One X. This one is already a few years older and surely cannot compare in performance to the new model:
The issue with the names occurred earlier when the next-gen console was first made available for preorders. It apparently happened that many players bought the Xbox One X instead of the Xbox Series X.
In the case of reddit user L3Jane, however, this did not happen. He insists: “Yes, I checked my order three times and it is for the Series X. It was in Australia through Telstra.”
He has attached a picture of his order.
Some players already have the Xbox Series X – The real one
Who already has the Xbox Series X? According to some reports, other players have already received their consoles – Even the correct ones. This seemed to occur relatively frequently, likely due to the sheer volume of preorders.
As a result, there was some uncertainty among players about whether they were allowed to use the consoles at all. After all, they are not officially available yet. However, Microsoft commented on this and stated clearly: Those who have their Xbox Series X can happily start playing.
However, those who have not yet been able to preorder an Xbox Series X will likely have to wait a bit longer. The new console is completely sold out – already for the umpteenth time. It seems to be extremely popular, even PlayStation fans are preferring to go for Xbox this time.

When does the Xbox Series X come out? The official release of the console is Tuesday, November 10th. Many players will therefore be delighted to open their packages and unpack their new Xbox tomorrow. However, this will likely do little to help L3Jane – He will first have to go through the customer support of the seller to file a complaint about his order.
