On Steam, a new tactical game is currently winning the hearts of players. The phenomenon is called “Tactical Breach Wizards” and is as crazy as it sounds.
What game are we talking about? “Tactical Breach Wizards” is a turn-based tactical game by indie developer Suspicious Developments Inc. The game was released on August 22, 2024, on Steam.
In “Tactical Breach Wizards,” you play a troop of rogue wizards who must uncover a modern conspiracy. Your fighters not only hurl fireballs and lightning at enemies but also possess an arsenal of firearms.

What does the trailer show? Instead of showcasing as much action as possible and letting the game speak for itself, developer Tom Francis took the stage himself. “Tactical Breach Wizards” invites players to freely combine the abilities of their wizard SWAT team.
To make experimenting less frustrating, you can rewind time during battles as many times as you want to try out new strategies. The game doesn’t aim to achieve the unforgiving difficulty of an X-COM; instead, the battles resemble a puzzle.

According to the developers, the team has worked on “Tactical Breach Wizards” for about 6.5 years before its release. The long development time seems to have paid off, as the game is receiving excellent feedback on Steam.
