On X, a mod is currently exciting fans of One Piece and Elden Ring. The battle of Roronoa Zoro against the giant pirate emperor Kaido makes fans dream of an anime soulslike.
What kind of mod is this? The mod is apparently called the “Work “3 Yonkos” mod by the Spanish modder “Arestame_Arkeid”. The mod turns the “Elden Ring” bosses Godfrey, Radahn, and Malenia into the powerful pirates Whitebeard, Kaido, and Shanks.
The mod originated in August 2022, at that time our colleagues from GamePro reported on it. However, it is currently gaining new attention through X, formerly Twitter.
Presumably, a second mod was used to transform the Tarnished into Zoro.
The mod is making waves amidst the hype for the official DLC “Shadow of the Erdtree”.
Epic battle makes fans dream of a “One Piece” soulslike
Why is the mod currently in the spotlight? On May 20, a fan account for One Piece shared a clip on X that shows a special battle in Elden Ring. The player faces the huge pirate emperor Kaido as Roronoa Zoro.
As if this battle wasn’t epic enough, Zoro swings not one but two massive blades, reminiscent of the Yoru of the legendary swordsman Mihawk. Kaido, on the other hand, fights with a club and a bottle of sake.

Although the video was released in February 2023, it still receives comments today. Many fans express their wish for an official game based on One Piece in this style both under the post on X and under the original YouTube video.
Licensed games based on animes are often more fighting games, gacha games – or a mix of both. Exploring the world of the favorite anime at one’s own discretion, replaying the story, and experiencing action-packed battles is something most fans can only dream of.

Other users point out that it would likely be quite expensive and complicated to produce such a game. So it’s not very likely that fans’ dreams will come true anytime soon. One Piece
