What is Shrinking about? The focus is on therapist Jimmy, played by Jason Segel, who lost his wife in an accident a year ago. He decides to help his patients using unorthodox methods, but that doesn’t always work perfectly.
What makes Shrinking so good? Another series from Bill Lawrence, but unlike Scrubs and Ted Lasso, Shrinking feels much subtler. There are fewer absurd situations and more interactions between the characters.
In line with the theme, it focuses a lot on self-reflection, self-love, and personal development. The actors are incredibly good, especially Harrison Ford is fantastic in what is likely his best role.
