Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood – The story continues!
Final Fantasy XIV, the MMORPG flagship of Square Enix, received a substantial content update on January 30 in the form of Patch 4.2. The main story of the update takes players back to the far east to assist their allies in Doma during a dire situation.
The continuation of the Omega raid brings the bosses from FFVI into the world of Eorzea this time. Battles against classic enemies like the “Phantom Train” or Kefka not only provide fun new mechanics and challenges but also strong new equipment.
The update on the update
Throughout the month, the new content “The Forbidden Land Eureka” will also be released, in which players will enhance their new relic weapons and armors.
Other contents of update 4.2 include:
- Trial: Fight against Byakko in normal and extreme
- Two new dungeons “Hell’s Spout” and “Fractal Continuum” (hard)
- Final Fantasy XIV brings back Kefka, a cult villain of the series
- New competitive PvP group mode for FEAST with its own ranking system
- Revised housing system
- A new PvP arena for the competitive mode FEAST with revised rules and balance
- A Valentine’s Day event starts on 2.02. and ends on 15.02., offering, among other rewards, flying heart chairs!
- New mounts
- New armors and cosmetics
