In GTA 5 Online you will encounter players who behave in a typical way and can be quite annoying. Here we show you 5 of the most annoying types of these players.
What is it about? When you play GTA Online, you will certainly encounter certain types of players. You meet them in Heists, PvP activities, or simply in open sessions.
And they all have one thing in common: They are extremely annoying.
In random order, MeinMMO editor Patrick Freese presents you with the people who annoy him the most in his over 600 hours of GTA Online.
1. Egoists in Heists – What is wrong with you?
What kind of players are these? In GTA Online, “Heists” are the co-op activities. So PvE that you are supposed to solve together with other players.
Even this description seems to cause confusion for some species of GTA Online players. This “together.” Because if you are brave enough to jump into a heist with random players, you have to brace yourself for a lot.
You repeatedly encounter players who do not listen to agreements and act as if they could win the heist alone. Tip: You can’t do it alone.
As soon as this particular type of GTA player dies, the consequence is already planned: They set the stubborn regulator to 10. Which in turn leads to 2 conclusions:
- They intentionally die over and over again, wasting team lives so that the heist fails for all players and they waste their time.
- They intentionally stop executing their assigned role in the heist, forcing other players to leave.
Advanced co-op egos silently leave the heist after the first attempt, ensuring that all the preparation time, which with loading screens easily takes around 10 minutes, was for nothing. Thanks to you once again for making heists so annoying.
2. Cargo Sale Destroyers – Don’t you have anything better to do?
What kind of players are these? The online world of GTA 5 revolves around making a lot of money. 12 ways to make a lot of money quickly help greatly.
The most lucrative methods involve gathering a product that is then sold in a sale mission for hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. But some preparation time goes into it.
Now, there are two important points to consider:
- The seller has invested a lot of time in producing his goods – he is rewarded with a large sum of money when he transports his goods across the map and delivers them.
- If opposing players destroy these goods, they receive a whopping 2,000 GTA Dollars for it. TWO THOUSAND
And now there are really players who immediately set off when a player is selling cargo and destroy it. This is not uncommon. Why do you do this? Hopefully not for the pitiful 2,000 GTA Dollars.
I once asked a player, and he said: “Well, the game says that I should do that.” (Background: When a player is transporting cargo, GTA points this out and says that it should be destroyed)
But do you really have to do that? Think about what it really brings you. It must be incredibly boring to go through with such an action.
My tip: Do something else during that time and make a lot more money. It doesn’t ruin the mood for others and brings you more.
3. The Low-Level Killers – Find a real challenge!
What kind of players are these? Due to a special offer in the Epic Games Store, GTA 5 Online was temporarily free. Many new players are now flooding into the online world and want to try out cool things that are waiting.
As a beginner, you have hardly any weapons in the online world. And if you have any, they are rather weak. You also have little to no armor. For experienced players, facing them is as challenging as swatting a fly. A fly that no longer has wings and cannot run because it is stuck on one of those insect traps.
Still, some players can’t help but demonstrate their dominance over and over again. Yes, they even camp players who are 200 levels below them and clearly show with their level “I’ve only learned the first steps in the online world. Help!” Over and over again, the newbs are gunned down by other players.
And I really wonder: Is that fun? Is it somehow challenging? Or can you just not beat anyone at your level in a 1v1 and now have to compensate for that with such behavior?
Then do it somehow without taking away the fun of the game from new players.
4. The Fail Racers – Just leave the good players alone
What kind of players are these? This very special species of GTA Online players compensates for their nonexistent skill by ruining the races for others.
An example: In the new open-wheel race, I start with my Formula 1 car in the midfield of the participants. Already in the first corner, I notice that there was a crash behind me. Two players collided.
Player A quickly seeks the way back onto the track and now tries to catch up and profit from the mistakes of others to win or at least finish in a worthwhile position.
Player B, on the other hand, comes up with the golden idea: “I’ll just drive in the opposite direction and ram every other player head-on who comes towards me. In doing so, I’ll try to deal as much damage as possible.” True to the motto: If I’m not having fun, why should anyone else?
If you encounter such a frustration zero, you can only hope that their skill is so low that they can’t even hit you.
My tip: If you messed up and are too bad to catch up, just leave the race and stop annoying the other drivers. Thanks.
5. Griefers with the Oppressor MK2 – You make me sick
What kind of players are these? Yes, what are these players actually? The ones who get an Oppressor MK2 (that’s a rocket-equipped flying motorcycle) and then have nothing better to do than fly aimlessly over the map with homing rockets and shoot at everything that moves.
You start to wonder what’s going on in the minds of these players.
It gets interesting when any general understanding of the game is simply absent with these winged bikers.
So I was driving with my armored Zhaba through Los Santos, and some knight on his turbine was chasing me. BAM, the first rocket hits. BAM, the second right after. But my tank didn’t explode. So the “Maverick for cash patients” slowly descended from the sky and kept shooting at me. 3, 4, 5, 6 rockets. Then a pause.
“OMG, hacker xd” our friend on the Oppressor exclaimed in the chat. “Report him. he god mode hacker. can’t kill this n00b lol”
That my Zhaba can easily withstand 14 rockets and would only explode on the 15th escape his mind in all his frustration that he wants to unload on the noob motorcycle.
Have you encountered such “experts” in GTA Online, and which ones annoy you the most? Hopefully, they don’t annoy you during the daily objectives, as they currently bring in a big cash bonus of 1 million GTA Dollars.
