What is this game about? As part of the Summer Game Fest and E3 2021, several streams were held showcasing new games or new details about games. The first highlight was the opening stream of the Summer Game Fest, during which over 30 new games were presented.

Battlefield 2042 – Gameplay and Release Date
What kind of game is this? Battlefield 2042 is the newest installment in the Battlefield series and is set in a modern setting. However, in this first-person shooter, not only firearms are used, but also heavy war equipment and explosives. Additionally, dynamic events on the maps provide plenty of variety and excitement for players.
- In Battlefield 2042, various classes, the specialists, will be utilized. A total of 10 specialists are set to be available at launch, equipping your team with special skills.
- There will be 7 maps at launch.
- On PC and next-gen, up to 128 players can compete against each other; on PS4 and Xbox One, only 64.
- There will generally be significant differences between console generations.

What has been announced: Around the E3, Battlefield 2042 was presented for the first time. Additionally, there was already a release date – October 22 – as well as pre-orders for the game. The first gameplay trailer was shown at the Xbox and Bethesda show on Sunday:
Lost Ark – Release in the West
What kind of game is this? Lost Ark is an MMORPG developed by Smilegate, which was released in Korea in 2018. In terms of gameplay, it is reminiscent of Diablo, as it focuses on action-filled battles from an isometric perspective. Otherwise, it offers all the necessary elements of an MMORPG, including:
- A character editor with different classes
- Dungeons and raids
- Crafting
- PvP
- Housing
A highlight is the sailing that plays a role in Lost Ark. You can build your own ships and explore the seas.
What has been announced? Lost Ark is coming to Europe in Fall 2021. The release here will be handled by Amazon Games. Moreover, a technical alpha starting on June 11, for which we at MeinMMO have raffled off 2,500 keys.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Presentation and Release
What kind of game is this? Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be a standalone game based on Borderlands, but set in a wacky fantasy world. The usual weapons play a role, but there are also knights, fireballs, dragons, and fairies.
As with Borderlands, you can explore the world solo or co-op with up to 4 players. Even after completing the campaign, there will be repeatable endgame content that you can enjoy.
What has been announced? During the Summer Game Fest, the game was presented for the first time. Accordingly, there was the first trailer on YouTube that you can watch here:
The release of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is said to take place “early 2022”. The game will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Elden Ring – First Gameplay and Release Date
What kind of game is this? Elden Ring is an action RPG from the makers of SoulsBorne, FromSoftware. In the story, you take on the role of a “Tarnished” and travel through a land ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal.
In the open world of Elden Ring, you will be traversing on foot as well as on horseback. The combat system will remind players of the Dark Souls games, just like the atmosphere of the game.
George R. R. Martin, known to many from the book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” is working as a supporting author on the game.
What has been announced? So far, there has been some information about Elden Ring, but at the Summer Game Fest, the first gameplay footage was shown. Furthermore, a release in January 2022 and a co-op mode have been announced.

Rainbow Six: Extraction – First Gameplay and Release Date
What kind of game is this? Rainbow Six: Extraction will be a new co-op shooter from Ubisoft, which was presented at E3. You work through various missions while combating a parasite that has tried to take the city.
You have 18 different operators at your disposal from which you can choose. In an initial trailer, a mission was shown in which Hibana was captured and rescued by her colleagues. Countless enemies were eliminated, as you can see in the trailer:
What has been announced? Extraction will be released on September 16, 2021, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. There will be crossplay between the platforms.

For fans of Rainbow Six: Siege, there was also a small update. On June 30, crossplay for PC and Stadia will be coming, and in 2022, the remaining platforms will be added. The new operator Thunderbird was also introduced.
Riders Republic – Release Date
What kind of game is this? Riders Republic is a new MMO where up to 50 players can interact in a shared game world. The world of the new MMO is inspired by American national parks and looks really good in the first trailers.
In the game, players can compete in special competitions or simply in the open world. Combat can take place in the open world, in 6v6, in free-for-all with 12 players, or in versus mode directly against friends. Rewards include cool and sometimes very quirky cosmetics.
What has been announced? Riders Republic has received a release date. It is set to be released on September 2. Prior to that, there will also be a beta.

Tribes of Midgard – Gameplay and Release Date
What kind of game is this? In Tribes of Midgard, players must defend against the impending invasion of giants during Ragnarök. It’s a survival game.
You play as a Viking whose village possesses the seeds of Yggdrasil. They are the key to protecting the gods from other realms in a world of dark creatures.
Your village must be defended against the shadows from Helheim, for which you gather resources in the wilderness. From these, you craft weapons, among other things. Meanwhile, the giants are creeping ever closer to the village, wanting to destroy Midgard and fulfill the prophecy of the end of the world.
What has been announced? The survival game was announced a while ago but received its release date during the Summer Game Fest. It will be released on July 27 for PC, PS4, and PS5.
Naraka: Bladepoint – Release Date
What kind of game is this? Naraka: Bladepoint is a new Battle Royale that will be released on Steam in 2021. In it, 60 players fight against each other, and the last survivor wins.
However, Naraka differs from games like Fortnite or Warzone because the Asian combat style is in focus. So you don’t kill each other with various firearms, but primarily in close combat with swords or staffs. However, there is a simple rifle and a bow for ranged combat.
What has been announced? Naraka: Bladepoint will be released on August 12. Prior to that, there will be an open beta from June 16 to June 22. The developers announced this during the PC Gaming Show.
Evil Dead: The Game – First Insight
What kind of game is this? Evil Dead will be a new horror game that resembles Dead by Daylight or Evolve. You can play it cooperatively and blow away demons and the undead together, or switch to PvP. In PvP, one player takes on the role of a demon and tries to eliminate the survivors.
However, the survivors can fight back and rebel against the evil demon.
What has been announced? Evil Dead was presented in detail during the Summer Game Fest. There was a trailer and the note that it is supposed to be released in 2021. The planned release is on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

Forza Horizon 5 – Gameplay and Release Date
What kind of game is this? Forza Horizon primarily appeals to casual and multiplayer fans. In it, you explore an open world that looks really good and photorealistic with your car.
The trailer showcases some of the possible game modes of Forza Horizon 5. The open world itself is already designed for multiplayer; you’ll find it easier to connect with acquaintances and friends to zip around together. Other game modes are also mentioned, such as:
