If you prefer to play games in one go, you can save a lot of money with the Game Pass for Xbox and PC. MeinMMO presents to you 3 games that have been released in the last few weeks and that you can already play for under 15 euros.
What are these games? Here we present to you new releases that were already available in the Game Pass on the first release day. They include AA and AAA titles from various genres.
The games are interesting because each would normally cost between 30 and 60 euros to buy. In the Game Pass, you get them together for a fraction of the price, possibly even for free.
How much does the Game Pass cost? Depending on which version of the Game Pass you want, you will pay different amounts:
- the PC Game Pass (including EA Play) costs €9.99 per month
- for the Xbox Game Pass you pay €10.99 per month
- if you use both platforms or need online multiplayer on Xbox, you can get the Game Pass Ultimate for €14.99 per month
- you can find the offers for the Game Pass on the official website
Alternatively, you can sign up for a trial subscription for 14 days and pay only one euro. Additionally, you can be invited by other subscribers and play completely free for 14 days. Ideal if you are planning a vacation and need some games to play.
Starfield
Starfield is the latest role-playing game from Bethesda, the creators of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. Instead of playing in a fantasy world or in a post-apocalyptic scenario, you will be playing in the distant future – with space travel and alien planets.
The game is a classic Bethesda RPG, where you can level up, spend talent points in various skills, and complete different quests. You will travel with companions through the world, with whom you can even have a romance.
The great feature of Starfield is shipbuilding, allowing you to build and even fly your own spaceship. Depending on whether you prefer a heavy freighter, a large battleship, or a nimble fighter, you can combine various components.
Even if Starfield falls a bit short of some fans’ expectations and still suffers from numerous bugs, the game can boast decent ratings:
- GameStar gives it a score of 81, but criticizes the lack of space
- GamePro rates it with 82 points and especially praises the story and scope
- on Steam Starfield has 75%
mostly positive
- Rating in the Game Pass: 3.3 out of 5 stars
By the way: Bethesda’s survival game Fallout 76 is also included in the Game Pass.
Lies of P
If you are thrilled by Souls games and haven’t played Bloodborne just because you lacked a PlayStation, then Lies of P is just the right game for you. In Lies of P, you play the enchanted puppet of the famous Geppetto, Pinocchio.
The setting makes Lies of P so special: in the baroque city of Krat, the puppets that were supposed to help mankind have gone insane. They slaughter everything and everyone, and now you must save the few survivors.
As typical for Souls games, you have various weapons and builds at your disposal. You fight against “simple” enemies and tough bosses, making progress in the story and uncovering more secrets about the backgrounds of the madness. Compared to other Soulslikes, Lies of P feels a bit harder:
What distinguishes the game from other Soulslikes are the advanced systems of Legion weapons and P-Organs. You always have a secondary weapon integrated into your arm, which has different effects depending on the type. Additionally, there is a second skill tree with P-Organs that you can use to refine your build.
Lies of P is well received, although a last-minute change before release caused some discontent:
- GameStar says the game world is atmospheric and enjoys the gameplay, gives it 92 points
- GamePro rates it with 83 points, especially praising the design of weapons and bosses
- Players on Steam rate Lies of P at 85%
very positive
- in the Game Pass, Lies of P has 3.6 out of 5 stars
Payday 3
The Payday series has been one of the most popular in the tactical co-op gaming genre for years. You play as a gang of criminals who plan and execute heists to make big money.
Payday impresses especially with its intensity: every mistake is punished, especially as a beginner, but even as an experienced player, you will probably fail more often than succeed. That is exactly what the game aims to achieve. You should plan. However, fans of the series criticize Payday 3 for the fact that this elaborate planning is significantly lacking.
Payday is best played cooperatively with people with whom you can discuss precise tactics. However, the game also works solo with bots. Payday 3 continues the series and introduces new heists, new weapons, and masks to the game.
Unlike its predecessors, Payday 3 does have an online requirement. This, along with bugs and performance issues, resulted in a disastrous rating on Steam at release. The ratings say:
- GameStar penalizes Payday 3 with a score of 53, a downgrade of 20 points due to server problems at launch
- on Steam Payday 3 has 35%
mostly negative
- 70% of users in the Game Pass give it only one star, here Payday 3 has 1.8 out of 5 stars
If you are interested in Payday, you should opt for the older parts in the Game Pass and wait for the issues with Payday 3 to be resolved.
