The publisher Take 2 plans to release another highly anticipated title from its in-house label 2K at the beginning of 2019. It can only be the long-awaited Borderlands 3.
Fans of refined shooting action and dark humor have been waiting for the successor to the legendary co-op loot shooter Borderlands 2 for a long time. Especially since it is said that after the unfortunate hero shooter Battleborn by Gearbox, 90 percent of the studio is working on the new Borderlands title.
However, it was previously unclear when the new part of the cult series would come. Now, a new statement from publisher Take 2 suggests that Borderlands 3 might be released at the beginning of 2019.

On the occasion of the release information for Red Dead Redemption 2 – also a game from Take 2 under label 2K – the publisher released another press release about the company’s financial goals for fiscal year 2019.
The press release mentions the planned financial goals of the company, which are to be met, among other things, through the distribution of Red Dead Redemption 2 and an as yet unknown game.
Is the new game from 2K Borderlands or Bioshock?
This unknown game from 2K is said to be a highly anticipated title from one of the publisher’s largest franchises. The game is expected to be released at the end of fiscal year 2019, which would be in March 2019.
The game in question is very likely the new Borderlands. It could be Borderlands 3 or have another name.
Since Red Dead Redemption 2 has already been completed by the studio Rockstar, the only other major franchise of the publisher left would be Bioshock. This has reportedly been in development by 2K Marin for a while.
The otherwise usual sports and wrestling games from 2K will hardly be the subject of the publisher’s statement.
That Gearbox is working on Borderlands 3 or a new Borderlands is probably the worst kept secret in gaming. But since Borderlands has still not been officially announced, it remains within the realm of speculation and must be treated with question marks.
