Diablo is known as the game with the dark world and absolutely wicked enemies. On the other hand, Mario Kart is known as the game that destroys friendships. The perfect combination, right? MeinMMO checks how bad such an unholy combination would really be.
For decades, fans have been pondering what it would be like if Diablo, Mephisto, and co. played Mario Kart, and many of you are surely wondering how these demons would play as characters.
… don’t you? Well, we’ll answer the questions anyway.
The most well-known enemies in the Diablo series are the seven lesser and greater evils that appear as bosses in the games. For our thought experiment, we take some of the iconic figures and look at how they would behave in Mario Kart or what peculiarities they would have.
The whole analysis is of course absolutely scientific* and is based on the behaviors and character traits of the bosses as they are anchored in the lore of Diablo. However, as these characteristics do not always map directly onto playable characters, we’ve considered: How would these demons play against you? Spoiler: You probably wouldn’t want to face any of them.
*There are no studies on this, but the author has studied. Trust him!
Mephisto – The final boss for every thread of patience
Let’s start right off with a big name: Mephisto is the Lord of Hatred, the current final boss in Vessel of Hatred and the oldest and most powerful of all evils. However, his tactics in Mario Kart would be extremely insidious.
Mephisto is not about winning. After all, he draws his power from hatred, a very strong emotion. So how can you best create hatred in the game? With blue shells, of course.
The Great Evil would therefore constantly have blue shells and would launch them in such a way that they would hit at least one or several players at critical points on the track – either in curves, on acceleration strips, or right before the finish line.
