In Call of Duty: Warzone there are even more advantages for PC users. Curiously, however, not because of the mouse and keyboard control, but because of the extremely good aim assist and a specific controller layout. The YouTuber JackFrags explains to you here why that is.
What exactly are the advantages? The YouTuber JackFrags plays on PC but uses an Xbox Elite Controller. Special advantages should be possible with this, from which PC players can benefit.
According to JackFrags, the additional bumpers on the back of the gamepad are particularly easy to reach.
These bumpers are used to jump or crouch. This way, you can very well shoot, run, and hop around at the same time, or duck.
This allows for a mobile playing style, and together with the strong aim assist, you can still hit very well. The aim assist on PC for gamepads works similarly to a magnet, which steadily guides the crosshair to the target.
According to JackFrags, you can take advantage of this when strafing around the opponent, keeping him well in your sights. This works even when the opponent is hopping around, as the aim assist works particularly effectively vertically.
You can find the Xbox Elite Controller and other models in our listing of the best controllers for PC and Xbox.
It’s worth playing with a controller on PC as well
What is the feedback? According to JackFrags, this way of playing is very effective, but you have to get used to it if you were previously only starting with mouse and keyboard. However, in the comments, JackFrags’ method is praised by the community:
- Troglodyte: “At first I thought this was a video of Jack cheating!”
- XBX4LFE: “That’s why Nickmercs and the others play this way!”
- 802 Garage: “This explains some fights I recently lost. I miss left and right, but the other seems to always have me in sight. I knew there was something like this, but I forgot it again, and you rarely see it as clearly as here.”
- Los: “These paddles [the bumpers on the back] help so much, it’s a difference like night and day!”
So much for aim assist on PC. If you’re looking for more about the differences between controller control and the combination of mouse and keyboard, you can find it here in our article on the subject.
