Actually, these games are intended for owners of a PlayStation 5, even if the storage of the PS5 is full if you install all the games. However, with a little trick, you can also secure all games for the PS4. You just need a PS5, or at least access to one.
PS Plus Collection on PS4 – Here’s how it works
This is what you need to do: First of all, you need to have subscribed to PS Plus yourself. Otherwise, you won’t have access to the games from the start. Then you need either your own PS5 or someone who owns the new console. Proceed as follows:
- log into the PS5
- alternatively, ask your friend to log in with your account – but we generally advise against sharing account details
- navigate to the PS Plus section on the PS5 via the UI or the PS Store
- go to the “Subscriptions” section
- select the PS Plus Collection
- there you can choose all the games you want on your PS4
The library is linked to your PSN account and is not tied to a console, which is why the trick works. Therefore, you should now be able to find the games on your PS4.
By the way, it seems that you can also easily share games with the PS5. Game Sharing works on the PS5 just like on the PS4.
Is it worth getting a PS5? According to the first reviews of the PlayStation 5, it has several advantages over its predecessor, primarily the improved speed and the new controller. However, since the PS5 is already available in some countries, some users are concerned about technical issues that diminish the gaming experience.
