The rumors about a major Battle Royale mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are not fading. Now players have found a way for you to catch a first glimpse of the supposed 200-player map.
What’s going on with CoD? Due to various leaks and player demands, the Battle Royale rumor for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare persists.
As early as mid-November, data miners discovered a 200-player mode in the data and since then, some soldiers have been waiting for the release of the mega mode.
Now players have found a way for you to take a look at the alleged Battle Royale map.

Aerial tour over the possible 200-player Battle Royale map
How can I view the map? For this, you need to start a local match on Vacant and set yourself as a CoD-Caster.
- Start a local match
- Select a Team Deathmatch on the Vacant map
- Set the round time to “Unlimited”
- Select the “CoD-Caster” as a team
- Start the match
The controls in Caster mode can be a bit unfamiliar. At first, you are set to one camera perspective and you need to break free from that position before an aerial tour is possible.
What is there to see? There is much to discover. Harbor, airfield, stadium, gulag, many objects from the previously leaked points of interest can at least be recognized in outline.
As on the Ground War map “Port of Verdansk”, “Vacant” is also available as TDM in the harbor district of the fictional city “Verdansk”. So first, you will recognize the Ground War map, which is apparently also part of the small Vacant map.
The further you get from the map, the less accurate the animated models of houses and objects become, but the distinctive shapes of a stadium or airfield can be clearly recognized. Inside the stadium, you can even make out the outlines of a field.

Modern Warfare Battle Royale not confirmed, but anticipated
How likely is a BR mode? The found data already show quite precise details and important elements of Battle Royales, such as armor or a mechanic to revive players.
However, the release of a major Battle Royale mode is by no means certain. Some of the locations found on the map belong to the missions of the co-op mode “Spec-Ops”, and perhaps the developers just want to play the Spec-Ops missions on a large, connected map.
Due to the developers’ silence, player expectations are further fueled. It remains to be seen how things develop. Until then, you can try to collect 183 kills in a match, which seems quite easy.
Are you expecting a Battle Royale mode for Modern Warfare 2019? Are you even excited about it?
