Blizzard has confirmed that Hunter pets in World of Warcraft Classic will continue to be a source of constant joy. Their aggro radius remains unpredictable.
Last night, the final “Pre-Launch Test” for World of Warcraft Classic began. Blizzard took this opportunity to mention a few bugs that are not actually errors. However, there are still some fixes coming, as not everything is running smoothly in WoW: Classic. However, those hoping that Hunter companions would no longer cause chaos in the “new” Classic are mistaken.
These 2 things are not errors: Blizzard revealed two details about Hunters that are not errors. These are:
- The rate at which companions regenerate focus is not always consistent.
- The aggro radius of companions works exactly as expected.
Especially on the last point, Blizzard emphasizes that “as expected” actually means: It is chaotic and extremely inconsistent. This was the case back then and will be again.
What does this mean? For all Hunters and groups who take a Hunter along, this is likely to be a frightening message. This means that Hunter companions will frequently “add” and engage enemies that were actually far away. But that’s just part of the Classic feeling.
More bugs that are not bugs can be found in this article.
These bugs will still be fixed: Additionally, there are some bugs that were indeed errors and will be fixed by Blizzard before the release. These include the following issues:
- Attacking (melee) resets the timer for the active “Auto Shot”.
- When a quiver is equipped, the tooltip for Aimed Shot incorrectly shows a speed bonus, even though the ability does not receive one.
- The Hunter’s quiver sometimes appears incorrectly on the Hunter’s hand instead of the equipped weapon.
- There is a slight delay when using companion abilities (Hunter and Warlock) when activated via “Auto Casting”.
- The animation and sound for Auto Shot play every time the target is switched while Auto Shot is active.
- Hunter’s Mark is stackable with different ranks of Improved Hunter’s Mark.
- Multi-Shot can hit totems.
- Hunter pet abilities are not automatically pulled into the pet bar when learned.
- Eagle Eye fails when selecting a location further than 100 meters away.
So there is still a bit to do before the release in about 3 weeks.
Are you already looking forward to the panicked apologies when Hunters accidentally pull hundreds of enemies again? Or should this detail have been changed?
