Your Titan Residuum in World of Warcraft will soon expire. You only have a few days left to spend it!
During WoW: Battle for Azeroth, Blizzard implemented the resource “Titan Residuum”. This can be obtained from the weekly “Mythic+” chest as well as from dismantling Azerite items. The Titan Residuum can then be exchanged at the astral traders in Boralus (Alliance) and Dazar’alor (Horde) for other Azerite items.
But that will soon be over. Those who still have large amounts of Titan Residuum should spend it quickly.
What happens to the Residuum? With the maintenance on 15.01.2019, not only will Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth be implemented, but the Titan Residuum will also be converted into silver. The exact rate is not yet known, but it seems most likely that one Titan Residuum will only yield one silver to prevent disrupting the economy of the realms.
Here are some things you definitely should do before Patch 8.3.
With the start of Season 4, which begins a few weeks later, players will once again be able to buy Titan Residuum and collect the best items from the vendor. The farming starts all over again, ensuring that all players begin on the same footing. But Patch 8.3 also has a few general improvements.
Why is Blizzard doing this? Those who remember the previous patches might wonder, since the Titan Residuum was also not reset there. However, this time is different, and Blizzard gives two reasons for this:
- The numbers for Titan Residuum have become too large. Some items cost 200,000 Residuum. Blizzard wants to reduce the numbers to a smaller, more easily understandable value.
- Less pressure on professionals: Many professional players, who wait weeks before a patch for the next raid and the “World First Race”, had the idea to farm gigantic amounts of Titan Residuum to have an advantage at the launch of a new season. To prevent this from being necessary, Blizzard simply removes this possibility.
Do you still have Titan Residuum that you need to spend? Or have you long since invested the resource in countless Azerite items?
