The next addon of World of Warcraft will be announced soon. But which features must absolutely remain?
World of Warcraft: Legion is coming to an end. With Patch 7.3.2, the raid Antorus, the Burning Throne will be opened, marking the final chapter of the current addon’s story. But in just a few weeks, the next expansion will be announced at BlizzCon. So it’s time for a little retrospective to find out which features the community liked the most—and which ones less.
- New in Legion were the Artifact Weapons, which could be permanently improved and thus constantly provided an incentive to spend more time in WoW. However, this meant that the character was never truly “finished”—there was no downtime.
- Also new were the World Quests. As a slight variation of the “Daily” quests, players could travel to any part of the Broken Isles and had missions to complete repeatedly.
- Or just think back to the scaling zones—how quickly did you get used to the fact that enemies are always at the appropriate level, so you are never completely under- or overwhelmed?
- The PvP System was also massively revamped. There are fixed templates for all classes, whose values are only slightly adjusted by the gear worn.
- Along with this, the Prestige System was introduced, where players could unlock exclusive PvP talents and later earn mounts, toys, and other cosmetic rewards.
