The beta of World of Warcraft Midnight starts in a few days. We will tell you how you can participate.
For a few weeks, the alpha of World of Warcraft Midnight has been running, but that will soon come to an end. The first tests are completed, and now Blizzard is moving on to the next phase: the beta is starting. Those who want to participate must either be lucky or buy into the beta. This way, you can experience the content of the upcoming expansion before anyone else.
When does the beta of Midnight start? The kickoff for the beta of Midnight is on November 11, 2025. Whether the launch will also take place simultaneously in Europe or if there will be the usual day’s delay here is still not entirely clear.
Beta participation in WoW Midnight – Those who pay can play
How can you participate in the beta? There are two different ways to participate in the beta of Midnight:
- The first option is to sign up for the beta test on the official WoW website. From time to time, players are selected here by a lottery system. However, there is no guarantee that you will get beta access.
- The second option is safer, but also more expensive. Those who choose the Epic Edition of Midnight and purchase it in advance for a hefty €90 get guaranteed access to the beta of Midnight as soon as it starts. We have introduced what else is included in the Epic Edition here.
What is included in the beta? As in the alpha, Blizzard plans to unlock new content weekly in the beta. A first rough plan includes the following content:
- Week 1: All new areas, leveling from level 80 to 90, the Haranir, Devourer Demon Hunters, all dungeons, depths, and the new prey system as well as housing.
- Weeks 2-3: First raid tests (without the final bosses), the new transmog system, Mythic+, new interface adjustments.
In the following weeks, there will surely be further focal points, but by then nearly all content from Midnight should be available. However, the last bosses of a raid, the completion of the campaign, and the major cinematics are usually excluded – these are generally only introduced with the release to avoid the biggest story spoilers. However, there have already been a few spoilers. Because through data mining, we know that the heroes in Midnight will likely fail.
