The beta of World of Warcraft: The War Within is just around the corner. It starts in a few days. We will tell you what you need to know.
When does the beta start? The beta of WoW: The War Within starts on June 5, 2024 – in less than a week. From then on, the first beta testers can try out the new expansion of World of Warcraft and get a glimpse of the new areas, features, and the story. How can you participate in the beta? There are several ways to participate in the beta. On one hand, you can simply sign up for the beta and hope that you will be accepted during one of the invitation waves and gain access. However, access is not guaranteed here and it may take a while.
If you are impatient, you can also pre-order the slightly more expensive “Epic Edition” of The War Within. In that case, you will immediately gain access at the start of the beta and can participate in the test.
Important: There are no “keys” for the beta! If you are activated, you can see it directly in the Battle.net launcher. So do not fall for dubious offers that promise you access to the beta.
What is included in the beta? A large part of the features of the expansion is already playable in the beta. Highlights include:
- Warbands – A cross-account system for all achievements, a special bank, and many previously character-wide unlocks
- Hero Talents – New abilities for your specializations that allow you to further customize your character and become even more powerful.
- Delves – A new type of solo content that you can complete to earn endgame rewards and even fill the weekly reward chest.
- Four new areas with numerous quests and new stories.
- 8 dungeons
- 1 raid
