The Conspiracy Theory of the Prepfoots
The inhabitants of Azeroth have experienced the end of the world more than once and have faced total annihilation many times. This leaves marks on most inhabitants – at least it should.
A tribe of Tauren from Highmountain is tired of this and is preparing for the next annihilation. No, they are not afraid of the Burning Legion or the Old Gods, but are waiting for destruction by … Deathwing.
Yes, really. The “Prepfoot” or in German “Kauzfuß” around the leader Trand Kauzfuß believe that the true world destruction by Deathwing is still to come.
The group of fanatic Tauren generally has strange ideas about survival. For example, they wear fish hats because they believe they can survive rising sea levels with them.
Additionally, they collect food for hard times, also in a strange way: bananas, milk, and fish, all without refrigeration. Specifically, they even say that “meat should not be stored in salt, because then it spoils faster.”
If you want, you can even take a look at the warehouse – many flies and other pests are already swarming there. But perhaps this explains the bad food and the mental state of these Tauren.
It’s also creepy that a few meters below their warehouse stands a cliff with a totem where several skeletons of Tauren lie – as if they had been thrown off the cliff for resisting the cult.
Are these Tauren just a group of crazies? Have they succumbed to the madness of the Old Gods? Or are they just an allusion to fanatical conspiracy theorists in the real world?
Maybe one of the addons will provide the answer in the future. Maybe we will never want to know it.
