Some mounts in World of Warcraft are only obtainable through achievements that require a lot of work or time. The streamer Asmongold has taken on the project “achieve-along” to help with that. He was surprised by the outcome: A wonderful moment in World of Warcraft emerged.
Asmongold helps with the Drake of the Eastwind: The Drake of the Eastwind is one of the most sought-after mounts from Cataclysm. To obtain it, the achievement “Glory of the Cataclysm Raider” must be completed.
The achievement requires that the Cataclysm raids be completed on Heroic difficulty, as well as additional achievements that must be fulfilled in the raids.
“Glory of the Cataclysm Raider” in under an hour
The streamer Asmongold showed in his stream last Thursday how to get the Drake of the Eastwind in one hour. The special part: He demonstrated how the “Glory of the Cataclysm Raider” can also be done solo in that time.
The community joins in: The stream was also a guide for others to follow, and Asmongold invited viewers to join him directly. Dozens of viewers then joined Asmongold on his journey and completed the necessary achievements simultaneously.
Asmongold then named the project “achieve-along”, meaning something like “join the achievements”. Asmongold provided live instructions that viewers could follow in-game to easily obtain the dragon with guidance.
The community’s reaction is immense: At the end of his stream, Asmongold waited at the destination of his route with the new dragon for those who joined in. Slowly, people gathered in front of the Caverns of Time.
In the end, it turned out that many more viewers participated than expected. So many players arrived in front of the Caverns of Time that Asmongold even lost his voice.
